Weekday Studies - Ongoing

Weekday groups are a great way for you to make space in your busy life for study and fellowship.  Newcomers are always welcome.

Child care by reservation is available for most weekday studies (the only classes that do not have childcare are those that meet before 9 a.m.). If you would like child care to attend a class, please contact Lisa Reece at 214-368-6348, ext. 108 at least 48 hours in advance.

For more information please contact Reverend Nicole Bates (214-368-6348, ext.129 or nbates@phpc.org) or Cathy Bell (ext. 127 or cbell@phpc.org).

Disciple Bible Study
This group is currently on summer break. Classes will resume September 12.

Disciple is a long-standing study at PHPC. The group meets on Thursdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. in Jubilee Hall for fellowship and Bible study. Disciple generally studies curriculum that recommend (but not require) a little light reading outside of class, but newcomers who have not done the reading will not be left behind.

Men's Breakfast Studies (Tuesday or Saturday Mornings)
PHPC has two active Men's Breakfast Groups. There's a Tuesday morning (6:45 - 8 a.m.) group and a Saturday morning (7:30 - 9 a.m.) group. Both groups meet in the North Dining Room and enjoy a hearty breakfast, fellowship, a devotional, and a speaker. New attendees are welcome to both groups any time! Get more information about the men's breakfast here.

No Embarrassment, No Excuses Bible Studies
Both sessions will break for summer from June 6 - August.
Wednesdays: 6:45 – 7:45 a.m. and again from 11 a.m. – noon - both groups meet in the Church Conference Room
No Embarrassment, No Excuses Bible Studies are designed for anyone wanting to be part of a non-threatening exploration of the Bible. The 6:45 a.m. class attracts those who enjoy lively conversation and study on the way to work. The 11:00 a,m. class is attended by many who participate in other “Wonderful Wednesday” events. The only requirement is an open heart and mind, and a willingness to learn from one another.

Presbyterian Women (PW)
This group is currently on summer break. Classes will resume in September.
Presbyterian Women (PW) is open to all women, as everyone has something unique to offer. Part of PW’s purpose is “to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and witnesses to the promise of God’s kingdom.” More information and meeting times.

Wednesday Women’s Fellowship

During the academic year, the group meets each Wednesday from 12:15 – 1:45 in Room N226.
View their summer schedule here.

Wednesday Women’s Fellowship is a Bible study and prayer support for moms of preschoolers, elementary-aged children, and beyond.

Women's Evening Bible Study (WEBS)
This group is currently on summer break. Classes will resume in September.
(WEBS) enjoys energetic fellowship, Bible study, and prayerful support. Group members range from ages 25-75; most, but not all, are working women who cannot attend study during the day. Diverse backgrounds enrich the dialogue and encourage the application of our studies. The group meets Wednesdays from 7 – 8:30 in Room N215.

Moms on Monday
Enjoy fellowship with other moms while the kiddos play. Moms on Monday meets the second Monday of the month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Nursery Room N121. Please bring lunch/snacks for the kiddos. Questions? Contact Lindsey Miller (214-906-5787) or Cassie Cathey (817-798-8011). Beginning in September (September 23), they will also gather on the fourth Monday of the month for Bible study. Stay tuned for details about the September Bible study.

Short-Term Weekday Studies
There are a number of short-term (generally 3-4 weeks) weekday/night studies offered throughout the year. Details will be included here and in other church communications as opportunities arise.
