Wonderful Wednesdays

• Creative Palettes Art Class
  Every Wednesday we have a painting class in room 217 from 9:00 a.m. – noon. The class members paint and draw using their own materials while they converse and enjoy each other’s fellowship.  Experienced teacher Carolyn Drake guides the group. Following some painting time, the class enjoys the $4 lunch in the north dining room.

• Wonderful Wednesday Lunch
  Lunch and fellowship in the north dining room from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. (cost is $4.00 per person)
  
  
• Supervised Bridge Play for Men and for Women
  Join us in Jubilee Hall F for some social time with friends and neighbors. Come early for a free lesson (12:15 – 12:45 p.m.) and then enjoy supervised play from 12:45 – 2:45 p.m. Participants enjoy party and duplicate bridge. No reservation required. Drop-ins are welcome. No fee in January, $5 per week.
   
• Wednesday at the Movies
  Join us the third Wednesday of the Month (September through May) for a classic movie on the big screen. We meet in Emmanuel Hall from 1:15 – 3:15. Come early for $4 lunch in the North Dining Room. PHPC Book Club l Dates and Book List
The Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church book club is an active group of readers who welcome you to join them any time for book discussion. Come to one meeting – or come to all. You’re sure to enjoy a great conversation among fellow book lovers and PHPC friends. The group typically meets the second Wednesday of the month from 2 – 3 p.m. in the church library. They do not meeting during the summer. Please check the church calendar for specific dates.

Whole Brain Prayer l Flyer and Registration Form
Whole Brain Prayer will be held on Wednesdays February 8, March 14, and April 11 from 10 a.m. to noon in room N224. It includes meditative prayer using visual art techniques and journaling for the non-artist. Little or no skills or experience required. The fee is $20 per class or $50 for all classes. Growing Saints Garden Club
If you have an interest in flowers, gardens, and horticulture in general, join The Growing Saints Garden Club and get to know some people who share the same interests as you! Membership is open to members and friends of PHPC and dues of $25.00 for the year are payable from May to June 15. The Growing Saints meet one Friday a month from September through May each year. First Friday Luncheons l Information about the Next Speaker
First Friday of every month (September-May):  “First Friday” luncheons are open to members, guests and the general community. The cost for the delicious catered luncheon is $10. After our fellowship meal In Jubilee Hall, we feature a noted speaker or entertainment. The luncheons begin at 11:45 a.m. and the programs start at 12:15, concluding at 1:00 or 1:30 p.m. In November, we celebrate our Annual Turkey Dinner instead of a Friday luncheon. Tickets are available at the Atrium counter two Sundays before the Friday event. You can also use the reservation line (214-368-6348, ext. 252). Call in your name and number of $10 tickets desired, then mail your check (payable to PHPC) to PHPC, Attention: First Friday, 9800 Preston Rd, Dallas, TX, 75230.
