Pastoral Residency Program
Four years ago application was made to the Lilly Foundation for a grant to start a pastoral residency at PHPC. After approval and funding, the church has hosted our first two residents for two year terms. The experience has been valuable for both our congregation and our residents. Our current resident leaves the church in summer 2014 to begin a new call as a solo Pastor.
PHPC is pausing the program for 2014 and 2015 due to the retirement of our Pastor, Dr. Blair Monie, who ended his 19 year call at the church at the end of June 2014. The pause will allow time for our next called Pastor to become oriented to the church and better prepared to take on the supervisory role with a resident.
A campaign is currently underway to fully endow the pastoral residency at PHPC. Our congregation greatly values experiencing gifts shared between church and pastoral resident. Thank you for your interest in the residency and please check back from time to time for any updates in the program.
