Creative Arts Workshop

Every year the third through sixth graders of PHPC look forward to June when they can show their stuff as budding actors in the Creative Arts Workshop children’s musical. This workshop offers an experience in the arts for our children where they can increase their knowledge of Bible/faith stories as well as to make new friends. Performances will be in the Sanctuary: Friday, June 14 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 16 at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Worship.

Summer Sunday School/Child Care

Jesus told us “Blessed are the Peacemakers,” but how do we become peacemakers? Our elementary children (those who have completed grades 1–6) will learn about practicing peace with Laura Seipp from the North Texas Peace Learning Center on Sundays, June 2–30, in Jubilee Hall from 9:30–10:30 a.m.

Children ages 3-completed kindergarten will have Sunday School in N131 and N132. Sunday, May 19, is the last day of the spring Sunday School session, and there is no Sunday school May 26. There is also no Sunday school in July or August; fall Sunday School resumes August 25.

During times when there is no Sunday School, there is child care for all three services for children five and under. Children are encouraged to attend worship with their parents. Children’s worship kits are available at Sanctuary and Chapel entrances.

Liturgists

For students who have completed third grade and older. Your child can be a worship leader this summer! Each child is individually prepared to confidently participate in worship. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience public speaking to a loving and supportive community.
