Springhill Day Camp

Our new Camp Director, Bret Turner, and his staff will engage campers with crafts, music games, playing in the creek, and much more! Springhill is a wooded enclave reminiscent of the Texas Hill Country but only 25 minutes from PHPC in east Richardson! Campers will meet at PHPC each morning and travel to and from Springhill in church vans.

Creative Arts Workshop
Camp Week: June 5-9
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

PERFORMANCES: Friday, June 9, 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 11, 10 a.m.
For children who have completed 3rd - 8th Grade
Non-refundable cost is $100 per child
Scripture comes alive at Creative Arts Workshop (CAW). This weeklong summer workshop is filled with boundless creativity as we approach music, costume and scenery creation, choreography in a fun way. Weekly Sunday morning rehearsals begin April 16 during the normal choir time (10:15-10:55), although previous participation in choir is not a requirement. Let your kids experience the joy of a mutual project with other children!

Vacation Bible School (VBS)
June 12-16, 9:30 a.m. – 12 noon
Ages 3 (on or before December 31, 2016) through completed 6th graders, Completed grades 7-12 are encouraged to volunteer
“Abundance Orchard - Where faith grows, and the hungry are fed”
This year’s exciting VBS – Abundance Orchard – comes from The Society of St. Andrew. By weaving the theme of food through Bible stories, crafts, songs and outreach, we will learn about The Society of St. Andrew’s mission provide hunger relief here in the United States. Come learn, serve and spend time with friends and strengthen our connection with God! Cost is $25.
July 24-28 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.; Completed 3rd-6th grades
At Camp PVN, kids will team up with the residents of a retirement community in north Dallas, just a few minutes away from PHPC for fun and friendship. Drop-off and pick-up will be at PHPC, we will meet at 8:30 am and pick-up will be at 3:30pm. A typical week at Camp PVN includes swimming, games, arts and crafts and much more. At Camp PVN, your next new friend can be 9 or 90! Cost is $85.
Memorial Day - Labor Day
Our popular Musikgarten program returns to PHPC Summer Sundays with new music and games! Musikgarten is for infants, babies, and toddlers (through age 4). Come experience God’s love through music each Sunday morning! (Each child must be accompanied by an adult)

Junior High Mission Trip
June 11-16; Completed 6th-8th grades
The current 6th graders are invited to join the JR HI Youth at Mo Ranch this summer to JRHI JUBILEE! A wonderful conference in the Texas Hill Country where we gather to worship, play, and meet other youth from all over our Synod. The group will be leaving on Sunday morning, July 2, and returning early evening on Thursday, July 6. Cost is $375.

Junior High Jubilee
July 2-6, Mo Ranch, Completed 6th-8th grades
Current 6th graders are invited to join the JR HI Youth at Mo Ranch this summer for Junior High Jubilee! We will worship, play, and meet other youth from all over our Synod in the beautiful setting of the Texas Hill Country. The group departs Sunday morning and returns early Thursday evening. Once a month during the summer, all 3rd - 6th graders are invited to participate in a day of doing mission in the DFW area. We will meet at PHPC and travel together to the different organizations where we will learn about what they are doing in our community and participate in work that they need done.
