We believe that the church, at it’s best, is a family; and family is family no matter where you go or where you come from.
Thus, here at PHPC, we strive to support college students in two ways. First, by maintaining relationships with college students who grew up in this church, and may be elsewhere for school, and secondly, by supporting and welcoming college student living locally in Dallas.
Therefore, whether you are new to Dallas, or are homesick for Dallas, you have a place here in our community. Don’t hesitate to reach out, and know that you are always welcome!
We offer a wide variety of worship opportunities at PHPC, ranging from traditional worship services in the morning, at 8:15, 9:30 and 11 am, as well as an alternative and creative worship service at 5 pm on Sunday evenings. For those students who are not in Dallas, we live stream our morning worship services on our website, which you can find here. Additionally, we share our Worship@5 service live onFacebook each week. Feel free to join us! We’d love to have you in our worshiping count.
Bible Study & Fellowship
If you live in Dallas and are interested in digging deep in your faith, we offer consist young adult bible studies, and would love to have you join us! This spring, the young adult group is meeting at Halcyon Coffee House in lower Greenville, every other Monday at 7 pm, starting February 12. Come enjoy a hot chocolate or a cocktail, and learn more about the wild and inspiring book, that is the Bible.
Additionally, each year around the holidays we will host a PHPC college party- one over Thanksgiving break and one over Christmas Break. If you are coming home to Dallas and are eager to reconnect with some of your church friends from your teenage yeas, we would love to see you! Information about those events will be shared here when seasonably appropriate, as well as on our college facebook page!
Retreats and Trips!
College can be a trying time on one’s faith. You are exposed to new ideas, you lose a sense of church home, and your spiritual support and consistency is shifted. For those reasons, now more than ever, it is important to carve out time for spiritual growth.
Thus, each January we will head to the Montreat College Conference (January 2-5) for a few days of fellowship and spiritual nourishment. If you are a college students and are interested in attending next year’s trip, make sure you e-mail Sarah prior to the holidays, and consider signing up for the college newsletter! We’d love to have you join us.
