Cowboy Camp Success
This past February, our Every Dollar Counts offering went towards Hope Supply Co’s Cowboy Camp, a free camp offered during DISD’s Spring Break for children and families who are experiencing homelessness. As part of Hope Supply’s mission to serve the critical needs of families living on the margins, Cowboy Camp provides children with a time of recreation, fun, and safety during an otherwise tenuous period in their lives.
Your gift of $3,359 covered the expenses for over six children throughout the week. This includes transportation, quality recreational programming, nutritious meals and snacks, and seasonally appropriate clothing for each child. This is also a week where parents can rest assured that their children have the space and freedom to simply be kids — to laugh, to explore, and to play. Click here to watch a video about Cowboy Camp.
This photo collage was shared with us by Liz Muth, the Community Relations and Development Director for Hope Supply Co. In her email to me, Liz wrote, “I just wanted to let you know how incredibly grateful we are for the support from PHPC for our Cowboy Camp!"
What a difference you have made in the lives of children and families in our community. Thank you for your generosity and compassion!
Please save the date for our upcoming PHPC Serves week, September 23-29, where one of the many opportunities to serve beyond the walls of the church will be with Hope Supply Co.
Grace and peace,
