Lilly Pastoral Residency Program

Our Pastoral Residency program is a two-year paid program funded by the Lilly Endowment that offers a rich and diverse learning experience. During the resident’s term, he/she will work with various members of the church’s congregation and staff to gain practical skills in areas such as pastoral care, teaching, organizational and financial administration, communications, planning, program oversight, stewardship, evangelism, outreach mission, and ministry with children, youth, adults, and seniors.

What makes this program so unique is the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church resident will be part of a cohort of eight residents from five other local churches of four denominations.  The eight residents will meet regularly with pastors to examine the various tasks and roles of ministry in different types of churches. The residents will participate in regular supervisory conferences with local church pastors. In addition, each resident will work with a support system of church members toward an enriching overall experience.
