1) What time are your worship services?
Our worship schedule changes at certain times of the year due to special worship requirements (i.e., Easter and Christmas) and during the summer months when children are out of school.
-
Our regular schedule includes three Sunday Services: 8:15 a.m. in the Chapel, and 9:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
-
During the month of July, our 2010 Summer Worship schedule will be one Sunday Service at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
-
If you cannot attend worship services, the 11 a.m. service is broadcast live in the
Dallas area on WRR 101.1 FM or on the Internet at WRR 101.1 FM each Sunday.
2) What time does Sunday School start?
Sunday school classes for children, youth and adults take place each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Children, youth, and many of the adult classes take a recess during the summer. Please check our monthly calendar.
3) When are baptisms scheduled and what are the requirements?
PHPC normally celebrates baptism on the fourth Sunday of every month, except for December and January, at the 9:30 and/or 11:00 services. Baptism is open to those members who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, or to those whose parents profess this faith. At least one parent must be a member of PHPC for a child to be baptized here. If you have any questions or would like to sign up for baptism contact Gail Lee, glee@phpc.org.
4) If I am not a member, can I be married at PHPC?
Yes, but there are certain restrictions. For more information, please visit the Wedding Information section of this web site.
5) How do I join Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church?
We have a monthly Inquirer's Class taught by our pastors and lay leaders. This class is designed mainly to provide information about what it means to be Presbyterian. But you will also be able to find out great ways to connect through study, fellowship, and service. Participation in these classes is required for membership.
If you are interested in meeting with someone face-to-face to learn more about joining PHPC, meet in the atrium seating area, just outside the north transept of the church after each Sunday Worship Service. Register for Membership classes.
6) Do you have a Mother’s Day Out Program?
Yes, but we call it Parents Day Out. After all, Dads deserve a break, too! The program runs from September to May for children ages 10 months through three years. Hours are 9:15 am to 2:15 pm, Tuesday-Friday. For more information, contact Lauren Turner, PDO Director at 214.363.2002.
7) How do I get a copy of a worship service?
CDs or downloads are available for most 9:30 & 11:00 a.m. worship services. To receive a recorded version of a worship service:
