PHPC Foundation

PHPC Has a Foundation?
It's probably safe to say that most churches - Presbyterian or otherwise - don't have foundations, at least not the financial kind. Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church is one of the fortunate few, thanks to the foresight of a handful of long-time members, who, in 1991, gave the "seed money" to establish what is today a $2+million institution.

The PHPC Foundation is the place that turns gifts into legacies. Its mission is to enable members and friends of this congregation to extend -- both during and beyond their lifetimes -- the reach of their faith into the future and the world. By their gifts to the church through the Foundation, Christ's disciples bear witness to their love of God and their commitment to Jesus Christ through the ongoing work of this church.

To do this, the Foundation receives funds - both restricted and unrestricted, designated and undesignated - from gifts, wills, and other permanent instruments. The Foundation's financial goal is to grow the endowment principal while making grants from the investment income. The funds are invested with the Texas Presbyterian Foundation.
Foundation trustees, who are elected by the congregation for three-year terms, meet five times a year. The 2009 Trustees are Tory Agnich (chair), Bill Bond, Susan Boulden, Chuck Gall, Dawna Hole, Scurry Johnson (Session representative), Melora Leiser, Jim Meyer, Randy Morrison, Ann Simmons, Anne Smith, Bill Starkey, and Mike Wright. Ex Officio members include Senior Pastor Blair Monie, Financial Officer Trey Angel, and Sandy Brown, 2009 chair of the Session's Finance Committee. Sara Moseley serves as the Foundation's Executive Director. She can be reach at Sara Moseley or (214) 368-6348, ext. 151.
