Worship

If you have the special flourish needed in flower arranging, then we need you. Our Flower Arranging team works on a quarterly basis to arrange flowers for worship services. So give two thumbs up and contact Cheryl Chase or Mary Ann Hyde at our main number, ( 214) 368-6348.

Even though the name is Holy Week Support Team, this group works on all of the many special Lenten services and activities held at PHPC, as well as other special worship services throughout the year. The only skill required is an interest in planning and participating in worship. For all the details, check in with Heather Brackett.

Lay Liturgists provide assistance to our pastors during the morning worship services and help bring God’s message to each of us. If you have the ability to speak in a public forum, please give Kay Rainey a shout.

Martha served our Lord Jesus. PHPC’s Martha’s Guild serves Him as well, by keeping our linens and silverware in proper condition for worship services and receptions. To help put a shine in worship, contact Gloria Gemmell through PHPC’s main number, 214-368-6348.

PHPC is a pretty big church, and we need to ensure that everyone attending a function is able to hear the Word. If you can navigate a soundboard and recorder, then this call is for you. Sound off to Trey Angel at 214-368-6348, ext. 139 for more info on working with our Sound System.

Did you ever wonder how those tiny communion cups are filled? To learn the secret, join the Table Guild as they prepare the Communion elements for all services at which the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is celebrated and for Outreach Communion. Our Table Guild Coordinator is DeLane Zipper.

A welcoming smile is the most important skill requirement to work on the Ushers Guild. Our teams work together once a month to help worshipers find seats, hand out bulletins, answer questions, collect the offering, and straighten the sanctuary after each service. If this skill set is up your alley, contact Jay Scholten.

The pencils are sharpened, the envelopes in place. The Chapel and Sanctuary are ready for worship. Not only through Divine Providence, but also from the diligent efforts of our Worship Support group. Staff liaison Diane Cooley can fill you in when you contact her.
