Marriage Enrichment Retreat February 13-15, 2009
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s this year than to spend it as a couple at the Marriage Enrichment Retreat in beautiful Salado, Texas? Get away from the rat race and take some time to reenergize the quality of your relationship in the comfortable and historic surroundings of Stagecoach Inn.
Our leader will be our own pastor, Dr. Blair Monie. Blair was trained in Marriage Enrichment through the Marriage Council of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and has led similar programs for other churches and seminary groups. With Blair in charge, you know it will be a stimulating, meaningful and enjoyable experience.
All discussions and exercises will be voluntary and non-threatening with most of your conversations between you and your spouse. Topics will include communication, finances, intimacy, listening skills, handling conflict and spirituality in marriage. This weekend will not be therapy and is not designed for couples experiencing serious problems. It is an enhancement program designed to make good marriages better.
The retreat begins at 8 p.m on Friday, February 13, and concludes at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 15. The schedule includes time to enjoy the shops, sights and activities in scenic Salado with your spouse and other PHPC couples attending the retreat. Early registration cost of $350 per couple ($380 after January 18) includes two nights lodging in poolside rooms at Stagecoach Inn, all Saturday meals including a wonderful dinner at the historic Stagecoach Inn, Sunday breakfast and all study materials. Stagecoach Inn is located on I-35 approximately 2 ½ hours south of Dallas.
