How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I bear pain in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all day long? Have you ever uttered or felt these words? David did in Psalm 13 as well as countless others who have experienced the grip of depression through the ages. Despite the commonality of experience, the plight of depressed individuals is often to muddle through the pain and darkness alone or with a fractured treatment plan for a broken spirit. The loss of energy, concentration, self-worth, meaning and purpose become overwhelming.
This six-week care course is designed to encourage you in addressing the spiritual realm of depression as you yearn for light in the darkest valley.
"Seeking wholeness requires that all the possible interventions for depression be considered." God has provided necessary medical and psychological caregivers, yet how often is the underlying support of prayer neglected? Subsequent to the sense of God’s absence is the tendency to give up prayer and seeking.
