PHPC SCHOLARSHIPS

Despite an expected decline in the Foundation's asset value - not as bad as the market's overall losses, but a decline nevertheless - PHPC scholarship awards totaling $19,200 are helping 12 students with college or university costs for the 2009-2010 academic year.  These included eight renewals and four new scholarship awards. 

Fourteen scholarship funds comprise the PHPC Scholarship Program.  Twelve are funds established in memory of and named for individuals; scholarships also come from gifts made to the Foundation's General Scholarship Fund.  The newest fund, established in late 2008, is the Tuesday Morning Men's Breakfast Scholarship; it is the first established by a PHPC group and honors deceased members of the group who served the community, the country, and the public good.
