A Commit 2020 Update

November 20, 2019 | News by Rev. Matthew Ruffner

    Family of Faith,

I have good news to share! As of Monday, because of your faithfulness, our 2020 Commit numbers are well ahead of where we were this time last year! Currently, 544 family units have risked something big for something good, and committed $3,174,000.  We are only $676,000 away from our goal of $3.85 million.  Thank you for your generosity and for risking something big for something good!

I want to share with you some early giving trends we are seeing in the 2020 Commit numbers.

51% of family units have increased their commitment this year.  12% is the average percent increase.
17 new family units have made a financial commitment to the church for the first time, totaling $75,890.
100% of the active Elders have committed a total of $135,390.
40% of the active Diaconate has committed a total of $60,000.

Because of your generosity we are well on our way to fully funding the ministry God has called us to this year. Thank you for your commitment.

Later this week, we will begin reaching out to family units who have yet to make a financial commitment.  Our Commit Ministry Team will meet on Thursday evening to begin that work.

If you have yet to make your 2020 commitment you can do so here: www.phpc.org/give

If you have never engaged in the spiritual practice of giving and would like to talk with a pastor about how to start this spiritual discipline, please email Rev. Sarah Johnson at   or Rev. Mark Brainerd at  . They would welcome a conversation about how to enter into this important spiritual practice and how this practice shapes our life as people of faith.

Thank you again for sustained commitment and generosity to Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church.
