Dear PHPC Members and Friends,
Happy New Year!
I think it is safe to say that 2020 was not the year we anticipated or wanted, and for so many reasons, we are not sad to see it go. Living with the effects of a global pandemic weighs heavily on all of us in different ways. It is also true that God is with us in it—the good, the terrible, the disappointment, and the expectation for what is to come. Or, as my friend and Spiritual Director Danielle Shroyer writes, "We worship a God who has come to us in the fullness of time and meets us in its emptiness too."
As we turn the page on 2020, we offer you ways to feed your soul and help you grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ in this unique season. These opportunities include developing spiritual practices that support your spiritual well-being by allowing you to reflect on where God has been in the past year and set new intentions before God in the year ahead. There are also opportunities to connect safely and meaningfully with others through Bible, book, and theological studies.
In the link below, you will find learning opportunities for January and February, excluding Lent. We look forward to learning and growing together in the months ahead!
