Announcing Outdoor Worship!

    September 30, 2020 | News

We will be holding in-person outdoor worship in Jubilee Courtyard, beginning October 11! We will offer two services: 9 a.m. (traditional) and 5 p.m. (Worship at Five). These two in-person opportunities replace the streamed worship service opportunities at those times slots. We will, however, continue to stream traditional Sanctuary worship at 10 a.m. Our 10 a.m. service will also be available on WRR 101.1 at 11 a.m.

This new worship opportunity emerges from what we hear from you in our reopening survey (you can see the results here) and our interpretation of the most recent available scientific data concerning COVID-19. We appreciate your patience as we worked through different options for returning in-person. Please know that we miss gathering with our PHPC family, but want to make sure we can do so in a safe way!

This worship opportunity will run for six weeks, through November 15, weather permitting. Thank you for entrusting us with this vital task. We look forward to worshipping together.

    Worship Services

Each service can host 50 people. We ask that you register for only one service per week, and if you have attended the week before, wait before registering again to ensure that more members are able to attend at least one service.

We will offer two services: 9 a.m. (traditional) and 5 p.m. (Worship at Five). Both services will be held outside in Jubilee Courtyard.

We ask that you bring your own chairs or blankets. Our staff will have marked locations that will ensure everyone can keep a safe distance.

    Safety Details

We will require one waiver form per family completed and submitted online or in-person (this only needs to be filled out once!)

One verbal health assessment per person, to be completed at the worship service

Volunteers will be checking temperatures near the entrance

Members will be asked to check in at a table to make sure their health forms are complete

Masks are required while moving to your seat and around the campus, but may be taken off once seated for worship

There will be no congregational singing or responses at this time

We will send out each Sunday's registration on the Wednesday prior at noon. Worship services will be first come, first serve! After you register, you will be given more details on parking, health assessments and any other details for that week!

Registration for the October 11 services will open at noon on Wednesday, October 7.

You will receive an email with the link to register!

We will continue to stream our 10 a.m. service (this will look and feel the same as the previous six months of streaming!) You can also listen at 11 a.m. on WRR 101.1. We will not be streaming Worship at Five at this time.

If you have questions about our outdoor worship services, please send them to Rev. Mark Brainerd at !
