A Note From Rev. Sarah Are
Family of faith- we have BIG NEWS!
I am delighted to announce the hire of our newest Director of Children and Family Ministry- Daryl Anderson. I could not be more excited.

Over the course of the past year, I have had the great honor of working with a team of diligent, determined, and hopeful parents in this search. We have read resumes. We have interviewed candidates. We have prayed, and we have carried you all in our hearts.

After a year of this process, we are confident that we have found the right addition to our church family to lead our children and family ministries. A huge thank you to Jenny Winnkelmann, Katy Skattum, James Flores, Elizabeth Beshear, Jenna Ross, and Sarah Ruffner for helping us find our person!

Without further ado, let me introduce you to Daryl Anderson!

Daryl Anderson is a native Texan from San Antonio with thirteen years of experience in education. He has taught primarily at the elementary level with a background in the academic and fine arts classrooms. Daryl earned a BS in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma and will hold an M. Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Texas A&M University-Commerce (December 2021).

Daryl’s faith and trust in God, plus his dedication to working with children, have brought him to PHPC’s Children’s Ministry. He recognizes that all children are unique, special, and talented individuals, all belonging to God. Daryl believes the church’s role in children’s ministry is to foster children’s positive sense of self through knowing God’s love while celebrating all children for their individuality.

When we asked Daryl what he is excited about, he said "I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with PHPC and its Children's Ministry.  Over the past few years, I have felt called to take a new direction in my career as an educator and confidently feel God has placed PHPC in my life at just the right moment. Already, I can see PHPC's commitment to serving children and their families through God's love, and that truly inspires me."
