Meet Our Summer Interns!

    May 24, 2020 | News
We have some exciting news for PHPC Kids! We will be welcoming two summer interns that will help with all things PHPC Kids. This year we welcome Suzanne Baxter and Madeline Sumrow! Although we won't have in-person programming at this time they will help with virtual programming and content, communications through social media and emails plus helping with VBS and Journalism Workshop! So let's share our love with Suzanne and Madeline!
Suzanne has been volunteering with PHPC Kids for many years. Most recently she worked all year on filming videos about our Sunday School teachers that were posted right here on Facebook. She has also helped with VBS, Super Happy Fun Week and lock-ins. When asked about why she was excited to work with PHPCKids this summer, she said: "I’m excited to be able to work with PHPC Kids even though we might not be able to be together in person. I loved being a part of PHPC Kids when I was little, and I’ve loved volunteering with PHPC Kids as a youth, so I’m excited to be able to help lead a program that means so much to me!"
Madeline has also been volunteering with PHPC Kids for a couple of years already. She has helped out when needed throughout the year, VBS, Super Happy Fun Week and was one of our youth counselors for Journalism Workshop last summer! When asked about why she was excited to work with PHPC Kids this summer, she said: “I’ve grown up at the church, so I’m very excited to help with programs that I loved as a kid to make them just as special for the kids now. I’ve loved volunteering at VBS and Super Happy Fun Week and can’t wait to get to work with the children’s program all summer!”
Finally, our youth department is welcoming a college intern - Emma Kilgore! Emma is our 2020 youth summer intern. She chaperones our Mo-Ranch Junior high trip last year and is an active member of the PHPC college program.
