In conjunction with our ministry partners, Rev. Richie Butler, pastor at St. Luke Community UMC and Project Unity Dallas, Preston Hollow is hosting a "Say Their Names Memorial" on campus beginning today, September 27.
This art installation joins a national grassroots movement to facilitate conversations and honor Black lives lost to systemic racism and racial injustice. By installing this temporary memorial at the church, we are encouraging open dialogue around issues of racial equity and justice while spreading a message of love, equality, and compassion throughout the community and beyond.
This memorial is also a part of the ongoing ministry of racial justice and equity at the church and has been approved and endorsed by the PHPC Session, Race Still Matters Committee, and the Mission Council.
