Research has shown that hunger has doubled in Texas during the pandemic. Snap benefits are up 15%, and food pantries around the metroplex are working hard to keep up with demand.
In response to this widespread hunger, the youth of Preston Hollow are hosting a Souper Bowl Sunday drive-by food drive!
You are invited to drive by the youth house on Sunday, February 7, from 8 am-12 noon, where youth volunteers will collect and sort your non-perishable goods.
Foods that are needed the most include:
- Canned Meat or Fish. Tuna and other canned meat, such as chicken, stew, chili, salmon or corned beef
- Canned Fruit in fruit juice
- Canned vegetables
- Peanut Butter
- Milk Products (powered milk, boxed putting, etc)
- Baby Food
