Most volunteers co-teach a class of about 15-20 students, for 2 hours a day, once a week.  In the Fall and Spring semesters we have classes in the mornings, afternoons and evenings, Monday through Thursday,  at our 3 campuses across Dallas.  Anytime that you teach with us the materials and curriculum are provided and the system is very supportive, even if you don’t have teaching experience.

All new volunteers are required to attend a New Volunteer Orientation (NVO) session that generally lasts one to two hours.  It will provide you with  more information about our organization and program.  You will also tour the  campus, meet staff and other volunteers.  A New Volunteer Orientation (NVO) session for all potential teachers, currently scheduled, will be held as follows:

    • Thursday, August 8th, 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at our Vickery Meadow campus
    • Tuesday, August 13th, 10:00 am – 12:000 noon, at our West Dallas campus
