VBS and Jam Camp Summer Updates

    April 23, 2020 | News

Dear VBS and Jam Camp Parents,

First, we hope this email finds you well and in good health. These days have been strange and difficult, to say the very least; but know that your PHPC family has been holding you and your families in prayer over the last several weeks.

We wanted to write and let you know that after much deliberation and prayer we have decided that it is best for us to have a virtual VBS and cancel Jam Camp this year. This was not an easy decision to make considering everything is changing daily with social distancing related to COVID-19, but our number one priority is to keep everyone (kids, volunteers and staff) safe.

Our 2020 VBS theme, PHPC Feeds, is ever more resonant this season, and we don't want our kids to miss out on hearing God's nourishing message this summer. We are starting the process of reframing our VBS curriculum to be something that you can do at home as a family. We will have activity bags ready for pick-up the week before our scheduled VBS week, June 8-12 that will include materials for activities, mission projects and the curriculum. We will also be posting videos of worship, storytelling, energizers, and provide a way to connect with specific groups through Zoom and Facebook.

    Things you need to know:

    • All registered Jam Camp families will automatically receive refunds back to their credit cards in the next few weeks.
    • If you decide your family will NOT participate in virtual VBS, you can request a refund of your registration fee HERE.
    • Please request VBS refund as soon as possible but no later than May 15. Depending on the date of your request, your refund may appear on your credit card or you may receive a check in the mail.
We know these camps are an important part of your summer— it’s our favorite time of year! For that reason, we are working very hard to make sure it will be as meaningful and powerful as ever!

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions,   (VBS) or   (Jam Camp)

    Peace and love,
    Ann Nielsen and Michael Groff
