I like so many of you tuned in on Tuesday evening to KERA-TV, Channel 13, to experience our Christmas music special, "Celebrate and Sing! A Weary World Rejoices." The hour-long program brought light, comfort, hope, and love into my Advent season. We learned from KERA-TV this morning that over 30,000 people tuned into the program, and it was the evening's highest-rated program! If you missed Tuesday's broadcast, the good news is that KERA rebroadcast the program in its entirety on Christmas Eve at 8 pm and again on the church's website and Facebook on Christmas day at 4 pm.
I want to thank Steve Jobman for his leadership and for helping PHPC share the light of Christ this Christmas season with the Metroplex. I also want to thank Michael Groff, Bradley Hunter Welch, the Sanctuary Ringers, our Sanctuary Choir, and the DSO players who came together and shared their gifts.
Finally, I want to thank our Communications team: Sara Stoltz, Thomas Gusewelle and Danny Gibble. The television special was produced entirely in-house and represents countless hours of work and creativity!
This year will undoubtedly feel different for all of us, but I believe we will find newfound holiness as we gather with those we love in our living rooms this year. I look forward to sharing the light of Christ with you.
