Dear PHPC family,
It's has been a busy few weeks at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church! I love that the summer in not a season that we “take off” at PHPC, but rather “take on”! I’d like to highlight a few happenings:
Two weeks ago our Children’s Ministry hosted our annual Vacation Bible School and Jam Camp! Both were a great success, as we welcomed 160 children to Preston Hollow for VBS, and 80 for Jam Camp. The Spirit of God was surely present in this place! A big “thank you” to all the volunteers who helped to make VBS and Jam Camp thrive!
I would also like to thank our Director of Children’s Ministry, Ann Nielsen and our Associate Director of Music, Michael Groff, for their fantastic leadership! They have done an excellent job creating many paths for the youngest people on our campus to come to know and follow Christ. I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share in ministry with them.
This past Sunday, we baptized five babies and welcomed them into our family of faith! It was wonderful to stand with those families and think that in a few years their children will be bustling through the halls and growing through VBS and Sunday morning programming.
Our mission team arrived safely from Puerto Rico. They have been in our prayers as they have visited and worked alongside our Presbyterian brothers and sisters. I’m grateful for those who volunteered to invest a week of their lives to help build the kingdom of God!
It is a joy to walk this season with you and I look forward to seeing you on Sunday as we explore the holiness of pick up and drop off! There are more of those in your life than you think! I can’t wait to see you on Sunday!
With great hope,
