Bible and Theology Studies

There are several Bible studies that meet on various days and times throughout the week. Classes run for twelve weeks in the fall and twelve weeks in the spring. No prior knowledge or experience necessary. All are welcome! 

*While our building remains closed, Bible and theology studies are alive and active digitally, meeting over Zoom and other platforms. Contact the class leader for more details on getting connected to the class’s digital platforms and opportunities to learn and connect.

Wednesday morning Bible Study

Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m.
This class meets weekly for Bible study (September – May) on a particular book of the Bible chosen at the beginning of the year. Participants are asked to read the scripture in advance. Some occasional light reading may apply. No previous Bible knowledge necessary. Open to adults of all ages and stages of life. 



Wednesdays from 11:30-1:30 p.m.
Open to women of all ages and stages of life this group meets weekly (September – May) for fellowship, and study on a variety of faith-related topics. The group chooses several books to study throughout the year.

Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Disciple is a long-standing study at PHPC. The group generally studies curriculum that recommends (but not require) a little light reading outside of class, but newcomers who have not done the reading will not be left behind.

Open to all women of all ages and stages of life, Presbyterian Women meet together in Circle groups once a month for Bible study, fellowship and outreach. This year we will study "Into the Light: Finding Hope through Prayers of Lament" by Rev. Lynn Miller.  Lament is the biblical response to the broken and trauma-filled world in which we live.

2nd Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. and evening at 6:15 p.m.

Tuesday morning of that same week at 9:30 a.m. 

Meetings are currently by Zoom Conference. When things change, we will be able to meet in person again.
