Ever wanted help navigating difficult political conversations with people in your life? Wondered how you might engage in healthy, life-giving ways with friends and neighbors across differences? In our current polarized political environment, many of us avoid or dread political conversations with friends or family members whose politics differ from their own. We worry, rightly so, that any attempts at political discussions will devolve into arguments and acrimony, and result in hurt feelings or anger.
In this season of Lent where we look inward, examining our hearts and lives, PHPC is offering a unique opportunity to engage in this crucial work of connection. Led by trained Braver Angels facilitators, and an organized team this workshop will teach you skills for having respectful conversations that clarify differences, search for common ground, and affirm the importance of the relationship, all while providing participants a safe environment to practice.
