Join us this August, as a family of faith, in this exciting opportunity to support our neighbors in need during these challenging times. Your gifts given today will be doubled, matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $100,000! All $200,000 raised during this campaign will be given to our incredible ministry partners as they continue to provide food and housing assistance across the city.
The ongoing pandemic has not deterred Cornerstone Baptist Church, the Joy Empowerment Center of Abundant Life AME Church, and Literacy Achieves from continuing to offer care and connection to residents and neighbors as the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all areas of our collective lives. As the needs of so many continue to increase, we are called to increase our generosity and compassion together!
In the same way, Jesus felt the multitude with the simple offerings of five loaves and two fish (Matthew 14:16-21), we believe God will multiply our gifts so that thousands of our neighbors can be fed, housed, and experience God’s abundant love.
Give online or designate the memo lines on your check to the “PHPC Loaves & Fishes” campaign and mail them directly to our office.
Multiply your gift by giving generously today!

For over 35 years, Cornerstone’s outreach into the South Dallas/Fair Park community has been transforming lives and neighborhoods through its various ministries and innovative services, including a free laundromat, clothing closet, shower facilities, and medical clinic. Since the pandemic, Cornerstone’s Community Kitchen has served over 1,000 free meals a day and continues to offer employment opportunities to service industry workers who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic.
Joy Empowerment Center of Abundant Life AME Church
The JEC is the outreach and organizing space of Abundant Life AME Church (the merger of Joy Tabernacle AME and Agape AME churches). The JEC’s mission is to strengthen the South Dallas Community and beyond through engaging in social dialogue and reformative community action. In addition to distributing thousands of PPEs through a collaborative South Dallas Black Clergy initiative, the JEC’s Emergency Relief Fund is currently providing micro-grants to individuals and families directly impacted by COVID-19.
With campuses located in West Dallas, East Dallas, and Vickery Meadow, Literacy Achieves is a champion for and provider of English literacy programs for adults and their families. Launched by PHPC as the Vickery Meadow Learning Center 20 years ago, Literacy Achieves continues to be an important source of connection for refugees and immigrants across Dallas. With many of its students and community members directly impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, Literacy Achieves is providing much-needed food, housing, utility, and of course, educational assistance to those with limited resources.
