Tornado Relief

Many of you have called, emailed, and continued to offer your prayers and gifts in support of the response and recovery efforts to the recent tornadoes. Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church remains committed to being the church in the world – especially for our neighborhood and for those communities and residents where recovery will be a long journey ahead.

What's Happened

In addition to your generous donations, you were part of over 100 volunteers who made and delivered 5,000+ meals to first responders, emergency crews and workers, and neighbors in need! We are so grateful for all who made this possible, and for those who have committed to provide meals to the Dallas Police Command post serving our neighborhood this week. Our Sanctuary Choir members mobilized quickly after the storm and were able to replace lost instruments for the 250 students of the Cary Middle School band! PHPC Music Director Steve Jobman is also welcoming the St. Mark's Choir who will be using our Emmanuel Hall for rehearsal this week.

What's Next
As roads continue to clear and power is restored back to homes, signs of life returning to usual routines are starting to emerge. One of the biggest need at the moment is the support of those local businesses impacted by the tornado who are re-opening and in need of your presence as a sign of hope. We continue to have open lines of communication with Dallas ISD, the City of Dallas, the Office of Emergency Management, and other organizations and agencies across the metroplex supporting individuals and families impacted by the storm.
In the meantime, you can serve through the Network Community of Ministries who has assisted families with relocation and replacing lost goods. Donations accepted: food, clothing, household items (new or gently used packaged dishes, pots and pans and glassware, new sheets, comforters and towels. Interested volunteers should come to Network between 9 am to 6 pm (Monday-Thursday and from 9 am to Noon on Friday) and donations will also be accepted during this time. 741 S. Sherman Street, Richardson, TX 75081.

If you are interested in participating in ongoing volunteer disaster response and recovery efforts, please let us know! Future events and opportunities will be shared on an ongoing basis.
