Christmas Eve at PHPC

Easter Sunday

Family Service | 3 p.m.
Children are invited to come early and join the multitude of angels, shepherds, and kings as the Christmas story is told in the service. No preparation is required; costumes are provided. Everyone participates as we sing familiar carols.

Contemporary Candlelight Service | 5 p.m.
Join us for our Contemporary worship service with Christmas carols, communion, and candlelight.

Traditional Candlelight Service | 7 p.m.
A warm way to welcome the fullness of Christmas Eve, the 7 p.m. service will feature the Sanctuary Choir, chamber orchestra, and candlelight.

Traditional Communion and Candlelight Service | 9 p.m.
A warm way to welcome the fullness of Christmas Eve, the 9 p.m. service will feature the Sanctuary Choir, chamber orchestra, candlelight, and all will be invited to partake in communion.

From Monday, June 23, to Wednesday, June 25, the main PHPC building will be closed for maintenance to replace the cooling tower motor. The Youth House will remain open during this time. All staff will continue working on campus and can be reached by email or phone. The main building will reopen on Thursday, June 26.

Christmas Eve @ PHPC

Join us at PHPC on Christmas Eve for one of our many services! Come at 3 p.m. for our Family Service, 5 p.m. for our Contemporary Service, 7 p.m. for our Traditional Service, or 9 p.m. for our Traditional Service with communion. All are welcome!

Kick-Off Sunday!

September 7

Join us as we begin an exciting new year at PHPC with Kick-Off Sunday! We’ll start with a Connection Fair in the Atrium at 10 a.m., where representatives from various interest and formation groups will be available to chat and answer your questions. Over in Jubilee Hall, one side will feature an introduction to this year’s theme at 10:10 and 10:30 a.m., along with an opportunity to purchase our guiding journal. On the other side, children will explore their new Sunday School classrooms as we officially launch Children’s Sunday School for the year! Please remember to wear your nametag on Sundays; it is helpful for new faces visiting! We look forward to new friendships and to growing deeper together in faith!

Church Season

Sundays | September 21 - October 26 | 5:30 p.m.

Church Season is a six-week experience for families at PHPC to grow in faith and community. We’ll share dinner at 5:30, enjoy a short teaching, then parents join small groups while kids take part in VBS-style programming. By the end, families will know more about reading the Bible, kids will be excited to see their church friends, and our community will be stronger. The program costs $50 per family and is designed for households with a child in fourth grade or younger, with older kids welcome to help.

Advent @ PHPC

This Advent season, we invite you to explore the different lenses of love as we reflect on four expressions of God’s love: storge, phileo, agape, and incarnation. Advent is a season of love, friendship, and family, and we will see each of these reflected in these lenses of love. We have much to look forward to this season and we hope you will join us.

Formation Bible Study

We invite you to an 11-week Bible study of the Gospel of John, using the short-term Disciple Bible Study Invitation to John. Space is limited; the sign-up deadline is January 9th. To sign up, use the links below. The cost is $15 for the participant guide. You will also need a study Bible for the class (NRSV translation is recommended).

Good Grief

Tuesdays | January 21 - February 25 | 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Grief is a deeply personal and an ongoing part of life. We believe that by coming together with others who are grieving and sharing common feelings and experiences, we begin to move forward with grief in a healthy way. PHPC’s grief support group, “Good Grief,” will begin on January 21. The 6 sessions are on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Rev. Mark Brainerd and Mahlon Hight lead the weekly sessions and all materials are provided. For more information, contact Mahlon Hight at mhight@phpc.org. The cost of “Good Grief” is $25 and scholarships are available. You may register and pay for the upcoming Good Grief support group using the button below.
