Why Sabbatical?

As Christians, we are familiar with the concept of “filling yourself so that you can fill others.” One of the ways we live this out at Preston Hollow is recognizing that this is especially true for pastors. Periodically, pastors need to step away from their daily pastoral obligations to “replenish” their cup. PHPC has a policy of allowing pastors to take Sabbatical Leave following the completion of 7 years of service. Senior Pastor, Rev. Matthew Ruffner, has been approved to take Sabbatical Leave May 7 – July 30, 2023. Click the button below to download a PDF overview of Matthew's sabbatical
