On Sunday, November 10th, Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church celebrates God’s great gift...
The Music Ministry of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church is a vital and active music program that incorporates vocal ensembles, handbell choirs, and instruments. Our hope is that God will be glorified and that both performers and listeners will be moved to a closer relationship with God.

Approximately 200 adults participate in the Sanctuary Choir at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. Choir is not only a place where worship and music making happen, but is a space for friendship and welcome. The Sanctuary Choir leads both the 9:30 and 11 a.m. worship services each Sunday, singing in a variety of styles. Often accompanied by instrumentalists and orchestra, the Sanctuary Choir performs in several special concerts throughout the year including Carolfest in December and the highly anticipated Americana Concert in May.
Preston Hollow regularly commissions anthems and major works to be written for the Sanctuary Choir. This process allows our choir to sing premiere performances of music by such composers as John Rutter, Ryan Murphy, Bob Chilcott, Hal Hopson, Paul Leddington Wright, Ola Gjeilo, Jeffrey Howard, Ray Andrews, and Emmy Award winning composers Gary Fry and Anthony Di Lorenzo.
These commissions are a direct collaboration between Preston Hollow and some of the world’s finest composers of church music. Once the premier is given in our Sanctuary, the compositions are often then offered through publication for everyone’s use as significant, long-lasting contributions to churches’ music ministries around the world.
Previous guest conductors of the choir have included Craig Jessop, Bob Chilcott, Sir David Willcocks, Mack Wilberg, Paul Leddington Wright, Gary Fry, Eleanor Daley and Andrew Carter.

Our Sanctuary Ringers provide music for both worship services and special programs in the church and community.
The Sanctuary Ringers handbell choir plays a range of exciting and challenging music and is open to adults and college-aged people who can read music and have a good sense of rhythm. They rehearse Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 7 in room S218. Child care is available.
The Worship at 5 Band regularly leads worship in Founders Hall for our Sunday night worship services.
Preston Hollow has two youth musical ensembles: The Westminster Singers and the Youth Band. Our youth musicians regularly lead fellow youth in worship in the Youth House, participate in worship in the sanctuary, and perform in special services and events, such as Carolfest, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve. At Preston Hollow, music is a key component of our ministry to children. As infants, children experience music through song, play, dance, and touch during our popular Musikgarten program. In preschool, music helps us teach stories and core concepts in Sunday School. In elementary school, children can participate in choirs and the annual Jam Camp, where we build our musical skills and our community. In all of our programs we keep our primary focus in mind: share God's love!
