The promise of today is that resurrection wasn’t just ‘back then’ but is a way of being! On Easter Sunday, we celebrate that the story isn't over—it's just beginning! The invitation of faith is to live as a resurrection people, awakening to God’s presence and work in the here and now.
But, the truth is we often settle for resuscitation rather than resurrection. We can spend most of our days seeking to resuscitate those places in our lives that have fallen flat, longing for past comforts and the safety of previous seasons. If we settle for resuscitation rather than resurrection, we miss the new life fond in God! The promise of resurrection is that God brings forth new life from what we have deemed death and brings forth new life. But that new life always looks different.
Over the next five weeks we will explore the places in our lives that are longing for new life, new hope, and new possibilities in Christ.
