How to Talk to Anyone about Anything | Lunch and Learn

May 4 | Noon - 1:30 p.m.

For all human history, we human beings have spoken to each other in parallel monologues, a way of talking that makes talking the most dangerous thing most of us do and listening the most infrequent. The result has been chronic conflict and polarization, for a thousand years. Our challenge is to replace monologue with dialogue by talking without criticism, listening without judgment, and connecting beyond difference which transforms conversation from danger to emotional safety. This workshop is open to anyone who wants to learn and practice safe conversations with everyone: an intimate partner, a friend, a child, a colleague, or those with different political, social, and ethical backgrounds.

Cherished Choral Classics

February 16 | 7 p.m.

The performance will feature the Sanctuary Choir and Orchestra, presenting masterpieces by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Vaughan Williams, Rutter, and more. Doors open at 6:15 p.m., and no tickets are required.

Mark Brainerd and Mahlon Hight lead the weekly sessions and all materials are provided. For more information, contact Mahlon Hight at mhight@phpc.org.
