Psalm 121

I lift up my eyes to the hills—from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth....

REFLECTION

Psalm 121 assures us of God’s constant presence.   It invites us to lift up our eyes to the LORD who made the earth and will watch over us each day.  Advent, the time of waiting for the birth of Jesus, is a busy time for us… baking, shopping, Christmas lights and decorations and the list goes on and on.   It is easy to lose focus and get caught up in the noise.  Lord, help us to silence the noise and have faith and trust that you are with us and will not let us fall. We can be impatient and do not want to wait for answers from you. Let us look up and be silent so we can feel your presence and strength.  You walk our journeys with us and know us and our ways. You breath strength into our souls as we walk this earthly world.  You are by our side to protect us and will watch over us.

PRAYER

Dear God,
As we go thru our day, help us to silence the noise that keep us from you.  You alone are our strength and our redeemer.  Thank you for the good news that you walk our daily walk with us and are watching over us. Praise be to God.
