Clean Up Bucket Assembly

We are conducting a Cleanup Bucket Assembly Part 2 this Sunday, September 10, from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. back at Preston Hollow Presbyterian church to finish incomplete buckets and makeshift cleanup boxes.

Location: Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church

- Assembly location - garages (this is an outdoor event). The garage is located to the right once you enter from Walnut Hill. If you pass the courtyard, you've gone too far.

Where you can help:

- 40 volunteers are needed to help from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

- materials are still needed to complete the buckets and boxes

 

Materials needed (please bring only this list of items):
5-gallon buckets with resealable lid
scouring pads
scrub brushes
packages of cleaning towels (18 reusable, like Easy Wipes®)
small boxes dry laundry detergent, 50-78 oz.
liquid concentrated household cleaner (like Lysol®), 12 oz.
LOTS of packages of clothes pins
LOTS of packages of 48-50 Clothesline, two 50 ft. or one 100 ft.
latex gloves (like Playtex®)
small bottles of insect repellent (pump, drops or lotion; not aerosol), 6-9 oz.
First aid kits

These are items that are being requested to help clean out mud in peoples’ homes. These items do not have to be new:
Tool box with basic tools
Wrecking bars (crow and pry bars) of assorted lengths
Large scoop shovel
Square shovels
Wheelbarrows
Six-foot step ladder
Squeegee
Brooms
Rubber gloves and boots
Garden Sprayers

All the items will be picked up on Monday and delivered to the Southeast Texas Interfaith Organization and distributed to those impacted by the flooding in East Texas.
